Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

The International Skool of Forecasting (ABN 80 653 957 772), based in Brisbane, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the third-party services we rely on — including YouTube API Services — and how you can request that your data be deleted.

This policy covers our public website at skoolofforecasting.com, our members community at members.skoolofforecasting.com, and our student study portal at study.skoolofforecasting.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you enroll in a course, activate a subscription, or join our community, you may provide your name, email address, and — for courses that require a non-disclosure agreement — identity-verification details. Payment information you enter at checkout is collected and processed directly by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers may collect basic technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We may use cookies and similar technologies, and measurement or advertising pixels (for example, the Meta pixel and Google advertising tags), to understand site usage and to measure and improve our advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

YouTube API Services

We operate a live-streaming service on YouTube. Our application uses YouTube API Services. By interacting with our YouTube channel, our live streams, or any embedded YouTube content, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Our use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, and is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

What our application does

We run a continuous live financial-chart broadcast and a live-chat assistant on our own YouTube channel, Jonathan Evans — Skool of Stock Market Forecasting. Using OAuth 2.0 authorisation granted by the channel owner, our application manages this channel — creating, starting and ending live broadcasts, and setting titles, thumbnails and privacy — and operates a live-chat assistant that reads and replies to messages on our own live streams.

Whose data we access

  • The OAuth authorisation is granted by, and applies only to, our own channel owner’s Google account. We do not ask website visitors to sign in with Google, and we do not access the Google or YouTube accounts of our visitors.
  • Our live-chat assistant processes public live-chat messages posted on our streams — the sender’s public display name and the message text — in order to generate a reply.
  • Where a chat message indicates an interest in our courses (for example, asking about pricing or how to join), we may log that message, the sender’s public display name, and a timestamp, so that we can follow up. We do not collect chat participants’ email addresses, payment details, or other private account information through YouTube.

Storage and deletion

Live-chat messages themselves are hosted by YouTube and are subject to Google’s and YouTube’s policies. The limited follow-up notes we log are stored securely and kept only for as long as needed; you may ask us to delete any note relating to you at any time using the contact channel below. We do not sell this information.

Managing your Google and YouTube permissions

The channel owner can review and revoke our application’s access at any time through Google Account security settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you have interacted with embedded YouTube players, you can manage your own Google permissions in the same place. You can review Google’s privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Identity verification (Stripe Identity)

Enrollment in certain courses requires identity verification. Skool of Forecasting uses Stripe Identity, a document-verification service operated by Stripe, Inc. When you complete verification, Stripe collects a photograph of your government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence, or national identity card) and a live selfie. The session is created by our checkout infrastructure and you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted page to complete it.

What we access and what Stripe holds

Identity documents and selfie images collected during verification are stored by Stripe under their standard security controls, including AES-256 encryption. Skool of Forecasting can view verification results and submitted documents via the Stripe Dashboard. We do not download, copy, or store identity documents or selfie images on our own servers or infrastructure.

Why we collect it

Identity verification is a mandatory condition of course enrollment. It confirms that each enrolled member is a real, identifiable person, which supports the non-disclosure agreement process and protects the integrity of proprietary course content.

Sensitive information under the Australian Privacy Act

Government-issued photo ID and biometric comparison data (a selfie used for facial matching) are classified as sensitive information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By completing identity verification as part of enrollment, you consent to Stripe collecting and processing this information on behalf of Skool of Forecasting for the purpose of confirming your identity.

Retention and deletion

Stripe’s data-retention terms govern how long verification records are held on Stripe’s infrastructure. You may request deletion of your verification data at any time using the contact channel below; we will forward that request to Stripe. Stripe’s privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy.

How we use your information

  • To deliver the courses, subscriptions, and content you have requested.
  • To grant and manage access to the members community and the study portal.
  • To process payments and maintain enrollment and subscription records.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the services, primarily through the members community.
  • To measure, secure, and improve our website and advertising.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

Third-party services we rely on

We use trusted third-party providers to operate our services. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
  • ThriveCart and Stripe — checkout and payment processing.
  • Stripe Identity — identity verification for course enrollment. Stripe holds submitted government-issued photo ID and selfie data on its own infrastructure; we view results via the Stripe Dashboard.
  • Bettermode — our members community platform.
  • Publitio — secure video delivery inside the study portal.
  • Google and YouTube — YouTube API Services, web fonts, and advertising measurement.
  • Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement and retargeting.

We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the data practices of these third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above so that they can perform services on our behalf, and where required to comply with the law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We retain account, enrollment, and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for as long afterward as is necessary to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. Community content is retained according to the policies of our community platform.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us through the channel below. You can also control cookies through your browser and manage advertising preferences through the relevant platform settings.

Children

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

We are based in Australia. Your information may be processed in Australia and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date below reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
